Apple Begins Shipping American-Made AI Servers from Texas Factory

Published: October 23, 2025

Apple now sends new AI servers from its factory in Houston, Texas. The servers are built in the United States and help run the company’s AI work. Apple makes these parts at home with its own silicon chips, all in a Texas plant.

Boosting U.S. Manufacturing

Apple plans to put $600 billion into the U.S. economy. The firm uses this money for modern work and for its list of projects in the country. Many leaders have said that more work at home is a must for big tech firms. Earlier in February, Apple said it would start putting together these servers in the U.S. Sabih Khan, the COO, said the teams did a great job to set up the new Houston factory ahead of time. He said the plant will grow to build more next year.

Effects on Jobs and Local Work

This Houston site will give many people new jobs in small towns. Apple once made these parts overseas. Now, the firm moves gear to America and appeals to local work. Apple CEO Tim Cook met with government officials in August. At that time, Cook spoke of extra funds for U.S. chip makers through Apple’s own work plan. At the meeting, Cook even gave a gift with U.S.-made Corning glass from iPhones and watches. In July, Apple also opened a school with Michigan State University to train workers in modern work.

U.S. Chip Making and Trade Rules

Though Apple has made new U.S. choices, making every iPhone part in the States may cost time and money. Still, the firm works with U.S. chip makers on local chip work. In an interview, Cook said a global chip chain can start at home and then grow to serve many needs.

The U.S. government has shaped rules on tech work. At times, talks of tariffs made trade hard for companies like Apple. Now, the firm makes many choices that follow new rules. Apple’s new work in Texas shows a real change. The move is one step in making more at home while keeping up with tech progress.
